Enhanced rider scheme with Ian. Started off just like it was back to doing my test but Ian soon put me at ease and it turned out to be too short an afternoon. Just as he said like a couple of mates out for a ride. Just want to say a big thanks for what was a brilliant afternoon. Good communication, sound advise and guidance well worth every penny. I’ve got 10 years of riding and I think it should be the first thing on the agenda of every newly qualified rider.
    Thanks Ian it was BRILL.

Would highly recommend the DVD/book they recommend at CBT – takes you through the theory test in particular.
Big thanks to all of you, Ian, Steph, Alan, Andy, Dan, brilliant job well done!
    Will recommend Shires without hesitation.

Passed with these guys about 6 months ago, but only got around to posting now – sorry about that.

There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t been said – great teachers with the patience of saints, flexible, and great at giving the right type of guidance at the right time (i.e. they knew when I needed some explaining and encouragement, and when I needed a kick up the a*** for being a d***).

The training isn’t just about passing the test (although they’ll give you the knowledge and skills to do that if you let them), but about making you a safe rider, and I thank them for that.

I went from very little experience on bikes (CBT years ago, not much time on 2 wheels since) to taking CBT/DAS in quick succession and passing first time with only a couple of minors, and I have no doubt it was because of Shires.

Recommended to me by word of mouth, and recommended by me to others dozens of times over since. You won’t find better teachers.

Couldn’t of been a friendlier bunch and keep you motivated and build your confidence with praise when you earn it and consructive andconsiderate feedback when you need it. I still can’t get my head round going there with no riding experience and ending up having an hours ride on the CBF 500 by the end of the day.

I recently took the intensive DAS 500cc course with Shires. A very relaxed environment made for easy learning with friendly and welcoming staff. Not got a bad word for any of them as they were all very helpful. I had Dan for 2 days… what a guy!!!! If you’ve met him you’ll know what I mean. Couldn’t have wished for a better instructor, always keeping me fully informed and above all always offering encouraging advice and praise where necessary. Passed 1st time on Monday 23rd March just before the heavens opened. Sun came out by 3pm, so got my 600F out and went for a 2 hour ride. Absolutely superb..I would not hesitate to recommend Shires Motorbike Training if you want to learn in a safe and friendly environment. Well done lads and thanks again. I would like to say thanks to the whole team who help me. It all started with Dan on my CBT. I then moved to the big bikes with Alan, a good instructor who explains things clear and well. I then had a 3 hour course with Ian who again explains things well, he helps build your confidence. After all the training i passed first time. Thanks to Tom in the office for sorting things out for me.

I did my annual Roadcraft with Ian. It was a fantastic session. Ian concentrated on “real-world” riding, and quickly spotted a few areas for me to work on. He then gave clear instructions on how to address them, and a good amount of time was spent with these in focus. Highly recommended!

After 30 years of not riding a bike and being slightly nervous, Dan made me feel at ease in a very short space of time & Ian helped me on the road and built up my confidence. I now feel I can ride my bike with the same confidence as I did 30 yrs ago, although not so cocky!! Thanks to all the team, including the lady in the office who dealt with my booking – a great, helpful & professional bunch that I would highly recommend!

Just got back on a bike after over 8 years sat on 4 wheels and thought it best to spend the money on a 3 hour course to refresh the skills. Dan my instructor was spot on put me straight on dealing with bends, let me take the lead and then gave guidance over the ear peice. Really felt the benifit of taking 3 hours out of my day. Anyone looking to refresh…? I would strongly recommend the road craft course, you’ll be suprised what you’ve forgot and what you’ll learn. Thanks Dan & Shires.
